You may not always end up where you thought you were going, but you will always end up where you are meant to be.
26 th March, 2016 was the nineteenth graduation ceremony of the AMI – RTI students.
It was a moment that all of us had been waiting for. The ceremony began welcoming our chief guest Mrs. Hilla Patell, our Director Ms. Zarin Malva, external examiners, faculty and administrators Mrs. Sunita Madhani, Mrs. Neelima Mhaskar, Ms. Anahita Shroff and Mrs. Geeta Savla, our correctors Shivani Shroff, Ketaki Rangnekar and Dolly Solanki, our families and friends.
Ms. Zarin Malva gave a warm welcome speech to Mrs. Hilla Patell who then proceeded to light the diya.
A moment of silence was observed for Mrs. Keti Mehta, our former president. Ms. Zarin Malva briefed about the support that Mrs. Mehta gave to her and the institute. This was followed by a beautiful prayer song thereafter which bouquets were presented to our guests.
Mrs. Hilla Patell expressed her joy of being a part of the programme and welcomed all to the AMI family. She spoke about ‘Education as an aid to life’ and how ‘teaching is touching a life forever’. She spoke about the importance of Montessori and gave us all many more beautiful insights about the child.
Ms. Zarin Malva thanked everyone who helped her run the course. She also thanked the schools for welcoming her students to their classrooms. A fellow students gave a short speech about ‘the child’ and how we must understand this beautiful creation to help her/him become the person he is meant to be.
We then had the distribution of the diplomas to all the students who with smiling and content faces hastened to receive their certificates from Mrs. Hilla Patell and Ms. Zarin Malva. Families and friends were heard cheering in the background.
The graduation ceremony ended with a Vote of Thanks by a fellow student and we bid goodbyes to one another with photographs, cake and refreshments.
