The graduation ceremony for the 21st batch of RTI-AMI was held on March 27, 2018. The ceremony hall at RTI was packed with students and their family members, and there was palpable excitement in the air. The students were also overwhelmed with emotion as it dawned on everyone that their journey of past 8 months was coming to an end.
The ceremony began by welcoming the Chief Guest, Ms. Janet McDonell, RTI Director of Training Ms. Zarin Malva, Ms. Pavithra Rajgopalan, Ms. Nilima, administrators and all our excited family and friends. The welcome address was followed by lighting the lamp by Ms. Janet McDonell.
Ms. Zarin Malva thanked Ms. McDonell and everyone who helped conduct the course successfully. She congratulated us and welcomed all the students to the AMI family. Ms. Malva’s speech was profound and made us realize the value of the hours of practice that we put in with the material, the Montessori philosophy and our journeys that brought us till the end.
Ms. Janet McDonell gave a wonderful speech congratulating each of us and our families.
Two students from the 21st batch, Pogathai Maseri and Avni Jalan, shared collective thoughts of our batch about what we learnt about a child during the course.
The students were handed over the diplomas as their families and friends cheered on. The graduation ceremony ended with a Vote of Thanks and a dedication of a song to the faculty members.
