It is with great pleasure that we announce a workshop by Ms. Janet McDonell titled ‘Role of the Senses in the Formation of Intelligence’.
Janet McDonell is a primary trainer for the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI). Janet holds Primary, Elementary, and Special Education diplomas from AMI. She also has a B.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of Wisconsin and an M.Ed. from Loyola University Maryland. Janet has served on the AMI Training Group, the AMI/USA Board of Directors, and currently serves on the AMI Consultation Committee. She lectures, examines, consults and offers workshops around the world.
The context and relevance of this talk is particularly significant in today’s times as we struggle to strike a balance between technology and real life activities. According to Dr. Montessori, technology is the expression of the collective human intellect. How do we help children appropriately in today’s world?
Come, join us and find out! Look at the power of intelligence and the importance of nurture during the early years of life. Ms. Janet McDonell will weave for us, the connections between our struggles, the developing intelligence of the child and peace in society!
